"Art therapy can add great harmony to life"

art and life

This photo was taken in the music library. The artist Renate Lusis helps the girls from art school to depict the sounds of music in the language of the color. Members of the art therapy club Modus Vivendi participated here too. The patients were the viewers in the concrete case but they too have learned a lot. The beauty is much more than the kind of shapes in the artworks. The light becomes alive if we not only gaze at the sunbeam and copy what we see at a moment, but make conscious effort to comprehend our emotions and thus respond with our whole life.

unsigned generosity

While looking at the fortunate in life, the differences in our environments are the obvious, and the comparisons make our day dark. Consequently, the stats of psychiatric disorders threaten the world...- depict the state of the tomorrow of the humanity.

It is the luck, the picture becomes much brighter as we enter in the art therapy class of the hospital for the mentally ill. Have a look at the photo above. Can you tell me the reason for that just incredible metamorphosis? What do you think? Let's discuss.

Thank you

Hey …isn’t it ironic that we feel bad about feeling bad?????

Wow! while reading , I have grasped the secret of the heavy silence. Thank you, dear Surface Earth.

Let's open the door for the sunbeam could enter in and the light will come.

Peace and love

To attain knowledge, add things every day. To attain wisdom, remove things every day. ~Lao Tzu

There are lots of great quotes, but the life is the making of great sayings the personal walk. Thus our bios are our responses.

Peace and love to you my dear

To know that you do not know is the best.
To pretend to know when you do not know is a disease.
Only when one recognizes this disease as a disease
can one be free from the disease. ~ Lao Tzu

love blossoms forth in the hospital for mentally ill - Klaipeda, Lithuania

"Be nice to people on your way up. You might meet them on your way down."- Jimmy Durante

joy for survival

The word is that you are what you speak. The thought inspires indeed. Wow, I am what I say.
I awoke with the words on my lips:

- Scat, all dark thoughts!

The cheerful 'Good Morning!' stormed into my hospital ward. It was the time of the visitation. Doctor's welcome inquired of my health state today.
- The headache troubles me, the sweatiness worries - what to talk about the constant backache...

Am I what I talk?
The innocent Good Morning made me the inmate of my troubles. Had I any chance to escape the complaints?
I looked at my neighbor and the uneasiness has doubled. Jonas was bound to the sickbed for forty years already.

I looked at a window. The sun was shining outside. Jonas followed the direction of my eyes and he blossomed with a smile unexpectedly too - we both were smiling. We gave one other a bow. It was done heartily and that was funny. We have learned to look at our headache as at a shadow that witnesses the light. That is not the worshiping of the darkness but otherwise - the gratitude for being alive, the recognition of the light in most unexpected places - underfoot.

Just click on the link The attitude of the heart

The hen's flu troubles my country more than life of the disabled. Meanwhile many of us sits back in an awe towards the peacefulness of a fish in the pictures of these patients who do not receive world's attention and thus remain unknown, because they pictures are found in a hospital for the people with psychiatric disorders. Though the concept of the art therapy sounds loudly but the happy patients do not call themselves the artists and silently taste life without the signatures.
According to the word, they are the fools. I am not going to argue with such definition, but call you to look at the works of the art therapy members. They are silent, but not weeping. They are so busy in preparation to share "Thank You!!!" if somebody would enter their room.
Let see for yourself. I thank you in advance. Wholeheartedly. Merry Christmas!

The poverty overcomed by the love

The leaves left the trees already, but the branches didn't became the naked. The love of "Modus Vivendi" decorates the yard of the hospital for the people with psychiatric disorders.

by the way, I have read today “We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.”

Birthday party

The artists may put down they instruments, but can't cease to remain the people. The artwork is not the drawing but the way of living.

This shot was taken during the birthday party of Skirmantas. You see him sitting while all his friends are standing around and singing Happy year to him.
Usually, Skirmantas never sits waiting to be served by other, but cheerfully welcomes everyone who enter the hospital for the people with psychiatric disorders. Skirmantas gifts something to everyone whom he meets with. Thus his siting at the moment is the exceptional event. He burns with the desire to serve other prior hearing the ask for the help.

The table was served humbly, but everyone has found there something delicious - either a sweet, or a mandarin- everyone could taste the love there.
The little room was unable to fit all who have wished to say thank you to Skirmantas.
While welcoming Skirmantas we celebrated a joy to live. What's interesting, these who welcomed the most hearty had the least to share with other. The poor hadn't any things, but they hearts were widely opened.

Dear Skirmantas WE ALL LOVE YOU. Your optimism makes our hardships much easier to endure in the modern world where just the material goods have value that plants just fear to lose everything.
Live long and be happy dear Skirmantas. You are the last Mohican and your existence keeps the love alive. You make us want to live, dear Skirmantas. Thank you in name of all who has nothing to lose, except the love.
Dear Skirmantas, we wish you the best.

one must meet oneself

The author of this picture is a woman with the shining eyes. Her heart is full of love ... you see that for yourself. Thus you may be surprised, why did I not name her?
The logical question made the colors of the applique above sparkle with double strength. The world dont doubt in the righteousness of his judgment and call people with psychiatric disorders the fools - scoff at them. The world fleers at oneself by doing thus, but the Modus Vivendi artists meet dark clouds with the palettes full of paints of trust in love.
I heartily invite you to open the heavy door of the hospital for the people with psychiatric disorders and welcome the people there - lets look at oneself and listen to the heart.

the essentials

The humanity has a name. It is "I love you" In a case just "I" remains, we face the most severe disease and are to deal with the hopeless disability

Our Victorelis

It was just accidental shot, but this feature made the photo doubly precious to me. I'm rejoicing not at my mastery to modify the view that was caught by my lens but the miracle of transformation that takes place in Modus Vivendi, art therapy club in the hospital for the people with psychiatric disorders (Klaipeda, Lithuania). Victorelis is not a model person. He is short and crooked man, who looks underfoot and dont attract girl's eye. But that is so until he knocks at always opened doors of the art therapy class. Victor becomes totally different person then. He identifies with the drawing, becomes the flowers that appear on his paper and everything else just cease existing.
Wow, what could attract us more than such silent vitality of the blooming earth?
It was no wonder, I just automatically took my camera and made the click you see below.

My quote:

Notebook of the disabled

It is easy to pull out thick tooth and the broken leg may be healed too. The modern medicine is quick to restore the order of the human flesh. Does it mean that the life became heaven on earth?

I put on my best suit and went out into the street. Wow, the day was sunny, everything around just sparkled - the light pictured a fabulous story. Just have a look. The roar of the cars mixed up with the scent of the flowers, has silenced, and the wind was piercing me with the unforgettable aroma. I step into awe. While watching TV, I was used to identify myself with each hero of the screen. That was easy to do, but everything looked otherwise in reality. I didn't hear any "to be or not to be", there were no aimless wandering too; all people were sparkling with joyful vitality. I felt myself a stranger to the people of the street, a tourist without a guide in the unknown world.

Who am I? The question was demanding. Am I one from the street (one of you), or the ghost?

I lifted my eyes up to the heaven and my look has discovered lots of closed windows that were drifting above the street. I wasn't alone. Lots of people were not accepted into the feast of a day.

The illness trouble us in various ways, but there is one common feature. Though the sickness has many forms and the hardships differ between, but all complaints have one in common. That's the recognition of self as a burden to our beloved and the world. Such feeling is the daily bread of people with psychiatric disorders. In case you have some belly problems or the alike disorders, the chemist's shop offers all cures that you feel need in to recover your health, but the world's generosity ends if you are feeling some psychiatric disorders. Rude address "You are a fool" typically replaces the medicine then and such outlook towards the one who have questioned himself "what for this play" hurts the most... The situation was dark until I faced a banner today

Let's change our outlook towards one other. Not all of us can be the boxing champions, as well as just few of us reaches the heights of the math an alike, but we all are brothers and sisters in spirit and we all walk under the same sky
