mystery of love

7 Wonders of the World are listed here and here... they inhabit our diaries everywhere. In short, 7 Wonders of the World may be described as human capacities to see, to hear, to touch, to taste, to feel, to laugh and to love . These are the different miracles but reveal the same spirit that blossoms at Egypt’s Great Pyramids and China’s Great Wall and sits us back in awe in St. Peter’s Basilica . The failure to discern that produces a mess and puts us in despair. That’s why there are just 7 Wonders, while they should be recognized in every single our step.

How to survive

A saying "Time is money" marks today - this wisdom flowers on the lips of passersby in response to the "Hi!' on a street. It's no wonder the strangers become sick and the number of the people with psychiatric disorders grows rapidly and the reality threatens ... silently. It's not popular to discus art therapy works as the tools for the healing of the modern world. Smell of the flowers obtains the cost just in the bottle of the fragrance.

I would name 'Time is money' the adage that brings us to eye to eye confrontation with the voiceless thunder 'what for do I live?'.

Oops! It can't be thus!!! Do I forget 'Time is money...'? What was my goal for putting on paper all the above?

As we all know well, our words create our reality and we have what we say. Thus lets recall the adage 'Time is money' once again. What does it mean? Does Life is for stocking our pockets? Or what?

It is good to have the positive attitude towards the life. Just look. While browsing through the web yesterday, I was attracted by the picture "Domino". I wanted to tag the author, but didn't know how should I do that (I'm know-nothing in web technicalities). Therefore I addressed myself to the bblogger with the question "how-to...?" and got the reply immediately. It was step by step instruction. Wow, that was so lovely. I was deeply touched. Thank you, dear AngelBaby. However, can I expect the same reaction in current case too? The practice proves that typically the questions like "I am alive, but is that the merit of me?" are followed by "no comments".
It is easy to get information to the inquiry where could I purchase the paints, but that's looks otherwise in case we question why do we paint. We are dealing with the eternities tête-à-tête/one-to-one ... for the sake of all.

There were lots of questions, but I don't want my article look like a mourning. While we encounter lots of various problems, there are people who do all they can to brighten the world of the disabled, to help their neighbor recognize the God's gifted light of life. Good-hearted people inhabit the whole earth. It is even impossible to count then all. That empowers us to not give in but remain the faithful in spite of what we encounter on our road. Thus at a moment, I came to the Art Therapy Blog and my hearty wow came out of itself once again. We aren't alone.

Peace and love, my dear.
God blesses you.

the unexpected fruits

“Fear is the anticipation of PAIN!” - T Harv Eker

Wow, is it possible to say better than it was put by T Harv Eker?! It looks that any musing on that theme would be just the needles wording. Therefore the reality just confuses. There are lots of wise quotes and the great army of the well educated, but the pain doesn't vanish from sight therefore. It is otherwise. The growing numbers of the incurables threatens. While it is good to know how it is easy to live the healthy life , but let's question ourselves, how does such talk would sound to the disabled? Denying of the pain can just increase the abyss between the healthy youth and the elderly who need the care.
In the light of above, lets look at pain once more.

While fear is anticipation of pain, the pain puts us into the readiness to receive the comfort from our fellows. Such way the pain makes the incurables the giants of the gratitude. That's hard to believe but the pain fires the smiles by changing our outlook on other and selves. Pain opens the eyes and awakens the love and it heals us from ourselves.

Let's remind Carl Jung. He has said "one does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious"
Art therapy perfectly illustrates that theory - makes the thoughts the pictures that you see on Modus Vivendi blog.

Birthday party

The artists may put down they instruments, but can't cease to remain the people. The artwork is not the drawing but the way of living.

This shot was taken during the birthday party of Skirmantas. You see him sitting while all his friends are standing around and singing Happy year to him.
Usually, Skirmantas never sits waiting to be served by other, but cheerfully welcomes everyone who enter the hospital for the people with psychiatric disorders. Skirmantas gifts something to everyone whom he meets with. Thus his siting at the moment is the exceptional event. He burns with the desire to serve other prior hearing the ask for the help.

The table was served humbly, but everyone has found there something delicious - either a sweet, or a mandarin- everyone could taste the love there.
The little room was unable to fit all who have wished to say thank you to Skirmantas.
While welcoming Skirmantas we celebrated a joy to live. What's interesting, these who welcomed the most hearty had the least to share with other. The poor hadn't any things, but they hearts were widely opened.

Dear Skirmantas WE ALL LOVE YOU. Your optimism makes our hardships much easier to endure in the modern world where just the material goods have value that plants just fear to lose everything.
Live long and be happy dear Skirmantas. You are the last Mohican and your existence keeps the love alive. You make us want to live, dear Skirmantas. Thank you in name of all who has nothing to lose, except the love.
Dear Skirmantas, we wish you the best.

one must meet oneself

The author of this picture is a woman with the shining eyes. Her heart is full of love ... you see that for yourself. Thus you may be surprised, why did I not name her?
The logical question made the colors of the applique above sparkle with double strength. The world dont doubt in the righteousness of his judgment and call people with psychiatric disorders the fools - scoff at them. The world fleers at oneself by doing thus, but the Modus Vivendi artists meet dark clouds with the palettes full of paints of trust in love.
I heartily invite you to open the heavy door of the hospital for the people with psychiatric disorders and welcome the people there - lets look at oneself and listen to the heart.

discovery of self

It was said “We are what we talk” and the ages didn’t change a jot there.
The grasp of the above gives some light to the black font color of the letters below- allows me to hope you will browse through the text till end. Thank you

People with disabilities, are dependant on the action of others. It’s no wonder the disabled focus on the actions of others – deal with the reality which is completely outside of their control. The last doubles their impotence and the situation becomes worse than it was prior grasping the truth.

While talking about disability, we see that a sense of personal needlessness describes the palette of emotions we deal with. This picture doesn’t attract and therefore most people turn aside from these who are looking at them from the windows of the hospital for patients with psychiatric disorders. The darkness doubles over the world of the sick and the air becomes thick there… However, as I opened the heavy gates into the world of not-right-minded, I was heartily welcomed by them.

These notes have depicted the background of the miracles.
The conception of the personal dependence on the grace of other on every single step we make blossoms out with THANK YOU that uplifts. The gratitude we share with other returns the smile to the eyes.
The understanding of personal dependence on other is not a curse, but the blessing that humbles. That’s the divine healing that changes the complaints for what we have not into the heartily thank you for all we have.
While talking with the wall I was surrounded by multitude of things that were of no use to me, but I hear ‘Hi!’ now.
Is it not a miracle?
I am the disabled, but I don’t beg for anything, but heartily welcome you…

Let me share with you a story now. It has happened not in some back-country, not somewhere, but on a web – thus my news will be not the local but the global – worthy your attention indeed. “Go! Smell the flowers” has announced the contest – asked the bloggers, what is “well being”? The winner became Norski . He came up with:
‘Just being alive is well-being, in a way, consider the alternative. Well-being may be defined as being content with what is, not fretting over what could be, or what is not.’

Is it all that have remained?

Today I have entered the room of the hospital for people with psychiatric disorders. I have noticed strange pictures on the windows. Social worker Stase Ridikiene has said that they were drawn by one of the patience, who has left us already for some years. These pictures were all that remains from formerly so cheerful person.

Was it indeed all that was left by our friend?

the interest was great

International exhibition Watercolor-2006 is traveling around Lithuania. Now it is opened in Plunge. However, how does it relate with art therapy club of the hospital for the people with psychiatric disorders?
Renate Lūšis, the heart of “Modus Vivendi”, is not only the art therapist, but the famous artist and the manager of that show. Thus she provides members of the club with an opportunity to stay in touch with what happens in the world of modern art today.
As football zealots follow their team over the world so "Modus Vivendi" visits art exhibitions. Though that would be beneficial to each of us, but it is of exceptional value to people with mental troubles.
Though all the disabled encounter lots of hardships at integration in social life, but the world looks exceptionally hostile towards the people with the diagnosis of mental disease. They feel themselves as if imprisoned for life, and thus every single trip into the life outside the halls of the hospital becomes the real miracle. Therefore I am deeply convinced that the trips with Renate Lūšis are of much more great importance than just visiting one or other exhibition.

While visiting the exhibitions, Modus Vivendi meets with their destiny brothers in towns the art show is opened. Such way the Watercolor-2006 exhibition becomes the powerful medicine for restoration of trust in people around us and life of it self. Trips of Modus Vivendi should be named not as visits to the art exhibition, but as example of love that is put into action.

Plunge
While looking at the photo below the incredible peace fills the heart. Have a look yourself. It is hard to discern the picture of lace on Rasa’ palm in this shot, but it is impossible not to rejoice at the lively interest of people around

the interest was great.
