Happy Christmas and New Year

---------------------------------------
meaning of a name: Modus vivendi
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Modus vivendi is a Latin phrase. Modus means mode, way. Vivendi means living. Together, way of living, implies an accommodation between disputing parties to allow life to go on. It usually describes informal and temporary arrangements in political affairs. For example, when two sides reach a modus vivendi regarding the territories disputed, even though they may not agree with each other's values or attitude, they have worked out a way of living with their differences. This sense of the term has been used as the keystone of the political philosophy espoused by John Gray.
In the diplomatic arena, a modus vivendi is an instrument recording an international agreement of temporary or provisional nature intended to be replaced by an arrangement of a more permanent and detailed character, usually a treaty. It is customarily made in an informal way, and never requires legislative or parliamentary ratification. Armistices and instruments of surrender are modi vivendi.

I don't like to say I have given my life to art. I prefer to say art has given me my life.

you are welcome

Long and narrow and the dark corridor of the Klaipėda psychiatric hospital loses its crushing pressure in the purity of Giedre's smile. She picked up a shred of paper and trimmed it. Her heart gave birth to a fairy story that you cam see shining in her hands now.
And Giedre isn't alone. All People of art therapy club are such miracal doers. And that's not high words. While visiting Modus Vivendi I completely forget the devastating weather conditions outdoor and started to smile too. I took my camera and thus you can see my face too between the artists who decorates our gloomy sky.

Silvia looked at the dustbin and what was thrown out as the litters already has revived to a new life in her white-and-black applique that you see below.

Multitude of fairy tales characters has appeared as if from nowhere and look at us, welcome us, and we smile together. That's not the end. Santa Claus is coming and who now what awaits us under the Christmas tree.

we are together

National conference “Socialization of people with disability/disabled and spread of society values” was held on 7th of December in the office of President of the Republic of Lithuania, the conference was dedicated to International day of people with disability and to International day of human rights. The conference was fallowed by the festival of the creative expression “We are all children of Lithuania”, which is patronized by the President of Republic of Lithuania and organized by the Chamber of Lithuanian scientist and society “Hope”. Those who find passion in creative words from the productional rehabilitation unit and day unit of Klaipeda psychiatric hospital were also invited to participate in this festival of creative expression where they performed literary composition “Trea”. The texts used in this composition were created during the hours of poetical therapy held by doctor Jurate Sucylaite, which pursues the deep openness, liberation from the negative experiences and new approaches towards life.

Doctor Jurate Sucylaite says: “We are together. It doesn’t matter that we are different. Let’s see the beauty in one another, let’s look towards the direction of kindness and let everybody see the windows of our souls opened towards light. Let the people not crouch in their painful loneliness, we are ready to help them searching for hope”.

Esame kartu. Tai kas, kad mes skirtingi. Matykime grožį vienas kitame, žiūrėkime gerumo kryptimi, ir tegu visi pamato į šviesą atvertus mūsų sielos langus. Tenesigūžia žmonės savo skaudžioje vienumoje, mes pasirengę jiems padėti ieškoti vilties.

Jūratė Sučylaitė
